Honestly, considering how long it took for him to do it, i don’t care if someone had to convince him to do it. Thanking the Mets fans who supported deGrom since day one was just the right thing to do.

Not excited about signing Correa. As much as we needed another bat, Correa has never hit .300 or had over a 100 RBI’s in a season. And he gets injured a lot. Personally, I would’ve rather have signed JD Martinez.

I could care less about who Verlander’s wife is, I’m just concerned about him and Scherzer’s age going forward.

Not re-signing Seth Lugo was a mistake in my opinion, but resigning Ottavino after the year he had last season was a must.

So nice to have an owner so dedicated to putting the best product on the field.
With all the main free agents pretty much off the board, this signing had to get dome. Seriously, there’s no way we were moving Marte to CF and now it’s just a matter of Brandon staying healthy.
McGriff was not only one of the most feared sluggers in the game when he played, but a 5-time All-Star, pretty solid defensively and by my count had about 12 HOF-ish seasons. In other words he more than deserved to get in.
DeGrom was always adamany that he was going to opt-out of his contract so that was the biggest clue that he no longer wanted to be in NY. Now he has his $$$ and will pitch for a 68-win team in Texas. Good for him.
