Shannon Sharpe Needs To Ignore The Haters

9 Mar

Honestly, I never even watched Sharpe’s now-infamous and highly viewed Katt Williams interview. And that’s just because I’ve never been that interested in what Katt Williams has to say. That being said, ever since the Katt interview it’s pretty clear that Sharpe has gained a lot in both popularity and haters. Especially from online trolls, messy/lying comedians and former professional athletes who seem to be really envious of Sharpe’s rising success. And while Sharpe has every right to clap back at all of them. The NFL Hall-of-Famer would be wiser to ignore them, keep doing what eh’s been doing and keep counting that paper.

Eric Bieniemy Taking The UCLA Offensive Coordinator Job Is Really Not A Big Deal

27 Feb

Honestly, I don’t think this is as a big deal as SAS and others are making it out to be. Because, simply put, not everything is about race–which is what SAS tried to attach to Bieniemy in the first place. And that’s certainly not the coach’s fault. Bieniemy, for whatever reason, could be such a bad interviewee that he decided to quit attempting to get head coaching jobs, stick it out as an offensive coordinator instead, still get paid handsomely and take the OC job that best fits him, whether that’s in the NFL or college football. Shoot, as we’ve seen time and time again, some coordinators are just meant to be coordinators.

Mets Need To Wear Jersey Patch to Honor Bud Harrelson This Year

26 Feb

Bud Harrelson

A few days ago the Boston Red Sox announced that they’d be wearing a patch this season to honor Tim Wakefield, the longtime Sox knuckleballer who passed away this offseason. Yet, the Mets haven’t said a word about honoring former player, coach and manager Bud Harrelson, who passed away last month. Is something amiss here? Granted, Harrelson wasn’t as beloved a Met as say a Gary Carter or Tom Seaver. But he did spend 13 years in NY, was a 2x champ (as player and coach) and was a 2x All-Star who spent a majority of his professional career with the club in a variety of capacities. Owner, Steve Cohen came to the Mets stating that he wants to embrace the team’s past and he’s done a pretty good job with that so far. Now he needs to do the right thing and honor Harrelson.

Brandon Nimmo Fine with Shift to Left Field: ‘Whatever is Best’

20 Feb

Brandon Nimmo
NYPost.com :

Brandon Nimmo is proud of his work as a center fielder but understood there was an opportunity for the Mets over the winter to get even stronger at the position.

So when president of baseball operations David Stearns contacted him in November about potentially moving to left field, Nimmo said he didn’t protest.

“I told him, ‘Honestly, my goal at this point in my career is to win a World Series,’ ” Nimmo said Monday after the Mets’ initial full-squad workout of spring training. “If you think that creating the better outfield defense or adding these guys to our roster is going to help our chances of winning the World Series then I will do that.

“I’m a good center fielder, but if you bring someone else in, we’re going to have a really dang good outfield. That is what I was trying to convey to him is that I’m definitely willing and available to do whatever is best for us to win the World Series.”

This is such a bad move imo. Nimmo is a really good CF’er and has proven himself in the field for years. And now he’s gotta move over to Left for some new guy named Harrison Bader?! I know Nimmo’s humility won’t allow him to care, but how disrespectful on the Mets part.
