Honestly, considering how long it took for him to do it, i don’t care if someone had to convince him to do it. Thanking the Mets fans who supported deGrom since day one was just the right thing to do. RELATED: Jacob deGrom thanks Mets organization in full-page ad after bouncing to Rangers

Mets and Carlos Correa Agree to 12-Year, $315M Deal
Not excited about signing Correa. As much as we needed another bat, Correa has never hit .300 or had over a 100 RBI’s in a season. And he gets injured a lot. Personally, I would’ve rather have signed JD Martinez. RELATED: Why Giants backed away from Carlos Correa’s franchise-altering agreement
Justin Verlander on his Conversations with Steve Cohen, How They Helped Bring Him to the Mets | SNY
I could care less about who Verlander’s wife is, I’m just concerned about him and Scherzer’s age going forward. RELATED: Mets’ Jacob deGrom-Justin Verlander swap is best trade of the offseason
Mets Resign Reliever Adam Ottavino
Not re-signing Seth Lugo was a mistake in my opinion, but resigning Ottavino after the year he had last season was a must. RELATED: Sources: Adam Ottavino agrees to 2-year, $14.5M deal with Mets
Mets and Kodai Senga Agree to 5-Year, $75 Million Dollar Contract
So nice to have an owner so dedicated to putting the best product on the field.
Brandon Nimmo is Back with the Mets, Agreeing to Eight-Year, $162 Million Deal
With all the main free agents pretty much off the board, this signing had to get dome. Seriously, there’s no way we were moving Marte to CF and now it’s just a matter of Brandon staying healthy.
Fred McGriff Finally Makes It Into Hall of Fame
McGriff was not only one of the most feared sluggers in the game when he played, but a 5-time All-Star, pretty solid defensively and by my count had about 12 HOF-ish seasons. In other words he more than deserved to get in.
Jacob deGrom Chooses Money Over Loyalty, Signs 5-Year Deal with Rangers
DeGrom was always adamany that he was going to opt-out of his contract so that was the biggest clue that he no longer wanted to be in NY. Now he has his $$$ and will pitch for a 68-win team in Texas. Good for him. RELATED: Jacob deGrom spurned Mets’ three-year deal in $120 million…
