Great start today by Walker. Glad Buck finally sat Escobar down.
That Phillies Comeback Was Truly Amazing
Can’t front when Lindor hit that 2-run HR on the 9th to make the game 7-3, my only thought was ‘here he goes again, padding his stats at a time when the game has already been decided instead of when he need him in the clutch’…and boy was I wrong.

Mets Designate Robinson Cano for Assignment
While I get that Robinson Cano is far from a sympathetic figure what with all the money he’s making and of course the PED suspension which took him away from the team for an entire year. But if we’re being fair 41 ABs with sparse playing time does not equal a fair assessment on whether or not a player has anything left. And damn, while we all know that Steve Cohen is mage-rich, to just eat $40M like that is kind of insane.
Mets Pitch Combined No-Hitter vs. Phillies
Great game. Great win. But combined no-hitters just don’t excite me as nuch as when the starter goes the whole way.

Terry Collins says Mets Should’ve Hit Nolan Arenado in the Back, Not Up and in Pitch
I agree with Terry here, but also wonder if Nolan was naive enough to think that he wasn’t going to get hit at all judging from his post-game comments.

Michael Conforto Out for 2022 Season After Shoulder Surgery
No wonder no team wanted to sign Conforto this past offseason. Anyone could guess if he’ll stick with Scott Boras as his agent after the ass-backwards advice he gave Conforto when it came to signing deals that were on the table, much less what kind of deal Conforto can get once he’s ready to come back.
Mets Beat D’Backs 6-2, Take 5th Straight Series To Start Season
The way you see Max Scherzer and Chris Bassist talking to these pitchers on the TV screen, you have to wonder how much effect exactly do they have on a Mets pitching staff that is off to a great start so far.
Mets Beat Giants 6-2, Win 4th Straight Series To Start the Year
Great start to the season. But I’m very curious as to why Buck’s been playing Luis Guillorme over Robinson Cano so much of late.
Mets Beat D’Backs 5-0, Take 3rd Straight Series to Start Season
Bullpen is becoming more and more worrisome (esp. Seth Lugo) and I don’t why Buck keeps feeding us Luis Guillermo who can’t hot a lick, but I’ll take another series win.
Mets Lose Series Finale, But Still Take 3-Outta-4 from Nats
Tough loss. But like I always say, series wins are what’s most important.

Mets Win Season Opener vs. Nationals 5-1
Game MVP is obviously Tylor MeGill who pitched 5 shutout innings and got the win. Liked that bunt by Cano. McNeil got a couple of hits which is really good to see. Bullpen was great and pretty much everyone contributed on offense.
Tylor McGill To Start Opening Day, Is the Mets Rotation Depth Now a Major Concern?
I know that Megill likes to keep it cool, but this is easily the biggest start of his career.
